Orthopedic Massage Certificate Program

This is the most comprehensive Orthopedic Massage and Pain Management training program that is currently available. You will learn client assessment, treatment protocols, and individualized client self-care. There is a written exam. This certification will allow you to align with the medical/clinical community and seek referrals from them.

Effective January 1, 2027

Requirements:

1. Attend three weekend classes,  live and hands-on, and one Five-Day Intensive class (within three years)

2. You may request to test after you have completed the criteria in section 1.  Email our office at info@orthomassage.net and scan copies of your certificates two weeks prior to testing for confirmation of test availability.  James only administers testing during his seminars; he does not test at conferences or conventions.

3. Examination

One Weekend Night: Friday or Saturday, usually 6:30-8:30 pm; occasionally James will test during lunch times
A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the exam
This will place you on our website as an Advanced Orthopedic Massage Practitioner
The exam fee is $150
The exam consists of 7 sections:

1. General/ 12 Step Approach
2. Hip Conditions
3. Lower Leg Conditions
4. Knee and Thigh Conditions
5. Shoulder Conditions
6. Cervical Conditions
7. Elbow, Forearm, Wrist and Hand Conditions
